Sunday morning at GKM is a joyfully relaxed occasion. People are invited to “come as they are” to praise God, to listen for God’s word and to pray together. Our praise music and much of the service is led by the “Called 2 B” band. We also have a fabulous Casavant organ which is usually played once a service. Children are welcome in the sanctuary any time of year, and from Oct-May, they have the option to go downstairs to “Kids’ Zone.” Come early if you like. Coffee is on at 9:30!
Donations to Winnipeg Harvest are gratefully appreciated.
If your child is old enough to be on their own with other children and leaders,
or young enough to have fun exploring their faith, they are welcome downstairs at Kids’ Zone! Kids’ Zone happens following praise time during worship on Sunday mornings from Oct-May. Together we have fun making things and playing, all the while learning about God’s love.
If YOU are old enough to enjoy kids and still young enough (at heart or otherwise) to have fun learning and teaching about faith, you might consider helping Betty Kuras and her crew from time to time during the Kids’ Zone year.
If you have an open mind, are curious about Holy Scripture and are interested in
growing in faith, you are invited to be part of Bible study at GKM.
Bible study is on hold for the moment.
“Gordie’s” is a 1960’s style coffee house, we have been running for a few years each Thursday evening. We feature live local music and host an open mic towards the end of the night. We are part Art Gallery, part Lending Library, part Games Room and people are always warm & welcoming. We serve Fair Trade Coffee & Tea and beautiful homemade desserts. Doors open at 7:00pm and the first set is at 8:00pm. Call up an old friend or come out and make a new one.
Oh yes, you can check us out on Facebook, too!
CALL’D 2 BE BAND
The Call’d 2 B Band is led by Louise Enns, who along with a group of GKM members aged from 16 to 80, allow us to praise God with a fun and lively spirit. With guitars, harmonica, our organ and keyboard, this group of talented musicians and singers will get your hands clapping and your toes tapping while praising with passion. Worship service is led by the band. Band members provide a reflection on each song and how it relates to that Sunday’s message.
RUB ‘N SCRUB
From far and wide we arrive Tuesday morning for the common task of cleaning. Basement to balcony, the mop, buckets, brooms, dusters, and vacuum cleaners are going full blast. It’s about the matter of removing dust and dirt. This is a mission group doing the “silent work of God”.
